HISTORY

We were hoping you could share about your journey so far as an artist. When did you focus your energy towards a creative lifestyle and what are your core values as an artist?

“I am a hip hop, house, and break dancer. My goal is to develop the dance level of our country to world level. I started dancing at 11 years old. My form of art is dance and choreography. I am a winner of more than 400 dance battles in Ukraine and other countries. My core values as an artist are:

  • To be sincere to myself and people
  • Share kindness and support through my way of art
  • Seeing the individuality in anyone
  • My main rule is “Start from myself”

CURRENT WORK AND CREATIVE PROCESSES

What work are you most proud of and why? Please tell us about the creation process and of your creative process in general.

"My place for my art is a dance floor. But the thing that I am most proud of are my students and the art of teaching dance. Because it’s more than only teaching people how to move their body and what techniques exist. The main art of it is showing people what it can be and teaching how to build and create good personality by dancing."

INSPIRATION

What inspires you? How have those inspirations impacted your work over the past 5 years and in your work more recently?

"My inspiration has always been to have the opportunity to see, feel, understand and enjoy simple things.

Seeing nature, listening to my friends, feeling the smile of other people, breathing fresh air, dancing with others, and doing something useful.

I am inspired by others, to see and understand how people from the hardest situation still go on to do the right things. That’s why my country is an inspiration for me."

COMMUNITY

How do you engage in your communities? How do your communities influence your art? This is also your change to mention any organizations or groups you are a part of.

"Our dance community in Ukraine is not something official. It’s just ten thousand people which I have met, seen and known for the last 20 years in the dance culture of Ukraine. So the best option to help the community - is to organize something for us.

That’s why I organized 2 dance studios and almost 300 dance events in the last 12 years."
